Obituary for Arthur L. Zinser

Arthur L. Zinser, 75, of Stafford Springs, husband to Carolyn (Gordon) Zinser lost his courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday October 23, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born March 14, 1937 in Hartford to the late Arthur Zinser and the late Ethel (Drager) Carlson. Arthur was a 1955 graduate of Farmington High School. He served in the Army National Guard at the Hartford Armory for 15 years. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 38 years. Prior to his move to Stafford Springs, he resided with his family in Tolland for 42 years. Arthur was very active in the Tolland community serving as Constable for 20 years. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge in Warehouse Point. Arthur was an avid boater, loved his scooter and his favorite time came each year when he was able to play Santa for his grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by his son; Arthur Zinser, Jr., his wife Alison and their daughters Kayla and Paige of Columbia; his daughters; Cheryl Groskritz, her husband Gary, their daughter Shelby and son Chad of Coventry, and Suzanne Breuer, her husband Mark, their son Brandon and daughters Amber and Ariel of Coventry. He was predeceased by a brother Gary K. Zinser. Relatives and friends may join the family, Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 2 – 4 pm, at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd (rt.195) Tolland, CT.
