Katherine “Kay” (Kalina) Kaitz, 85, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Alexander Kaitz, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. She was born January 23, 1930 in Rockville, daughter of the late Stephen and Victoria (Yanek) Kalina. She is survived by her sister Josephine Burnham and her husband Horace of New Port Richey, Florida as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters Stephie Zavarella, Sally Surdell, Stella Grabowski, Helen Marsh, and brother John Kalina. She had a long and fulfilling career at the Bridgeport Motor Vehicle Department where she served as Manager for many years. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville, CT 06066 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Bernard’s Church, Rockville at 2 pm.
