Pierrette M. Dean, 81, of Coventry, beloved wife of James Dean, Sr. passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016. She was born December 12, 1934 in Causapcal, Quebec, the daughter of the late Pierre and Lucille (Potvin) Martin. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting blankets for her children and grandchildren. She had a deep and abiding faith in her Lord and was a communicant of St. Mary Church. She is predeceased by a sister, Jeannine Perron, and brothers Roger and Maurice Martin, all of Canada. She is survived by her loving husband, James Dean, Sr., her children and their spouses, Allan and Jacqueline Dean of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, JoAnn and Zane DeVoe of Coventry and James Dean, Jr. and Elizabeth Starke of Coventry; a brother, Denis Martin and partner Lucille of Canada; a sister, Rolande LaVoie and husband Henri of Canada; her grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher and Cranston Dean and a number of great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 6 PM on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke. (Rte. 44) Coventry, CT 06238. A Memorial Service will follow at 6PM at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
