Frederick W. Frey, 81, of Mansfield Center, formerly of Tolland, loving husband of Pauline (Houle) Frey, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016. He was born January 29, 1935 in Holyoke, MA, the son of the late Elmer and Lillian (Beaudin) Frey. He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps prior to working for Friendly Ice Cream Corporation for 36 years. Besides his beloved wife of 58 years, he is survived by his three children, Heidi Leone and her husband Mark, Karl Frey and his wife Paula and Gretchen DeNeill; his grandchildren, William Palaskas, Stacey Palaskas, Nicole (Frey) Palmer and her husband John, Connor Frey, Braden Frey, Tyler DeNeill and Alyssa DeNeill; his great granddaughter, Ellie Mae Palmer. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rte. 195) Tolland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 16, 2016 at St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial will follow at East Cemetery, Tolland.
