Richard "Rick" Aubin, 66, of Coventry passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. He was born in Hartford on July 5, 1950, son of the late Delphis and Ethel (Joanis) Aubin. Rick was a wonderful man loved by many. He worked for Aetna for many years and proudly served as the former president, vice president, and member of the Coventry Volunteer Fire Association for more than 45 years. He was a devout parishioner of St. Mary's Church for more than 35 years. Rick is survived by his children, his daughter; Melissa C. Aubin, and his son Timothy L. Aubin, his granddaughter Cassidy S. Dory, his beloved sister Joyce (Aubin) Munsell and her spouse, sisters in law; Linda Avens, Mary Church and her spouse, brother-in-law; Frank Spencer III and his spouse, his nieces; Shannon (Munsell) Saucier and her spouse and their son Silas, Amber Munsell, his nephews; Christopher Church and his spouse, Justin Church, Michael Avens and his spouse, and Kevin Avens, as well as many cousins and countless friends, and several lifelong friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years Carol Aubin. Richard was immensely loved by all and will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family at Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke (RT44), Coventry on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1-3pm and 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church in Coventry on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10 AM (meet at church). Burial will follow at New Coventry Cemetery, Coventry.
