Anne M. (Nancy McMahon) Lachut, 82, of Rockville, beloved wife of Henry Lachut, passed away peacefully on December 29th with her loving family at her side. She was born in Upper Darby, PA on December 27, 1934, daughter of the late William and Regina (Shillingford) McMahon. Nancy graduated from St. Bernard School of Rockville, CT and Rockville High School class of 1952. She worked for several years as a legal secretary before and after raising her children. Nancy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; she enjoyed bowling and UConn Women's basketball. She had a lifelong interest in politics, and served as a member of the Vernon Democratic Town Committee. Nancy is survived by, her husband of 54 years, Hank and her children; William and Heidi, Anne-Marie and Steve, Gregory and Melissa, Leo and Kim. She is also survived by granddaughters Kayla and her husband Brian Little, Julia, Hanna, Zoe, Madeline, Isabella and grandson Kylor, and great granddaughter Emma Little, as well as several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Regina and Leo Flaherty, Mary and William Luddecke, Sally and Frank Barbero. Relatives and friends may join the family on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Church, Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Rockville.
