Gilman F. Gagnon, Sr., 90, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born on November 4, 1926 in Fort Kent, ME to the late Laura Jean (Michaud) and Belonie Gagnon. He worked as an auto mechanic, carpenter and painter for most of his life. In his later years he enjoyed camping in Rhode Island with his wife Lorraine and his dog Rascal. He is survived by his son Gilman F. Gagnon, Jr. and his wife Laura of Windsor Locks, daughters, Sandra Keeler and her husband Robert, Sr. of Enfield, Linda Jacobs and her husband Edward of Wynantskill, NY, grandchildren, Michael, Robert Jr., Carina and Nerissa, great-grandchildren, Cody, Brandon, Carissa, Shawn, Conlan, Gianni, Genevieve, Giuseppe and Reo; Aunt Cora Figella and Sister-in-law Barbara Grant. Besides his parents he is pre-deceased by his loving wife Lorraine, brothers, Herman, Michael and Raymond and sister’s Genevieve, Dora and Martha. Friends and relatives may join the family on Sunday, April 23, 2017 between 2pm-4pm at the Bassinger and Dowd Funeral home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, Ct. A Funeral Home Service will take place on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:30 at the Bassinger and Dowd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St.Marys Cemetery in Windsor Locks, CT.
