Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about this. I do not know if he would have remembered me, but he was my teacher at Lake Street for 4th grade (he retired right after my class). That was one of the best years I had in elementary school--I remember that he has so much passion, knowledge and creativity. He really made that year fun and unforgettable. I remember every project, lesson and object in the room (from his big antique desk we got to sit in on our birthday, to the huge teddy bear mascot named Big Bertha). When telling stories about elementary school, I have found that a lot of my anecdotes come from his room. I have always had some amazing teachers, but there were two from my years at Lake Street who made me strive to become and elementary teacher myself. I am now; and he is one of the reasons. I only hope to be as kind, compassionate and involved as he was. Prayers and love to all his friends and family.

Condolence: Dear Lynette, Rich and family, We were so sorry to learn of Roy's passing. So many memories of good times at lake St school. He was a quiet, kind, gentle man with a smile and love for his collections. I remember he had every beanie baby made. He enjoyed going out to dinner with friends and was known as quite a bingo player. Lynette we will not be able to attend the funeral but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace dear Roy.
