Edward W. Jesanis, 85, of Troutman, North Carolina went home peacefully to meet his dear Saviour on October 29, 2017. Born in Rockville Connecticut on July 8, 1932 to Peter and Julia Jesanis, he lived most of his life in Rockville and Tolland before retiring to Florida and then North Carolina.
Ed served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict before raising a family of five children with his wife Madeleine, with whom he enjoyed 62 years together. Before his retirement, Ed managed a chain of electronics stores, then started a residential real estate business with his wife where he loved the daily connections with home buyers and sellers. Ed also served on the Tolland Zoning Board of Appeals. In addition, Ed enjoyed assisting at his church’s summer camp for eleven years by procuring food and supplies necessary for the week of camp.
In addition to his wife, Madeleine, Ed leaves behind his children: Michael and Janet Jesanis of Sunapee, New Hampshire, Peter and Laura Jesanis of Tolland, Annette and Robert Pancavage of Enfield, Caroline and Christopher Kulman of Stafford, Edward and Christine Jesanis of Statesville, North Carolina. Ed also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and his sister and her husband, Linda and Tom Shaughnessy of Vernon. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Edwards name to the charity of the donor’s choice. Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9 – 10 am at The Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1151 Hartford Tpk, Vernon ,CT 06066.
