Although Margaret was ready to pass through the pearly gates, we will all miss her presence here on Earth. It’s difficult to say what we’ll miss most about her as there were so many qualities she had and was an inspiration to many. Margaret was a shining example of how to live your life and very few people are as dedicated to family as Margaret was. I know nothing meant more to her than family & just spending time with them. She shared her quiet wisdom on so many topics. Margaret was an incredible craftsperson who created hundreds of gifts for her family and friends. I know our family have many beloved items which are even more dear to us now. Even recently in the hospital she would give me tips on crocheting… Just an amazing woman. Memories of debates on Yankees vs Red Sox and sharing the love about the UCONN women basketball team. Chocolate chip cookies. She would bake a special batch for each of our children on their birthdays…who would think such a simple act of love would be so special …but it was and the kids would eagerly wait for that each year. Margaret would whisper to them...this is your special birthday cookies and you can share or keep them all to yourself. Their faces would just light right up! I hope to continue that tradition with our grandchildren. HUGS. Margaret gave the best & LONGEST hugs ever! Seemed like the shorter she got, the longer the hugs were and it was comical when she would hug Terry because he was so much taller. Margaret was truly an amazing person and her daughter Lorraine’s dedication to her is a testament to what an incredible person Margaret was. We will all miss her terribly, but feel comfort in the fact that she is up there watching, protecting & guiding us all.
