Dolores M. Skipper, 89, of Ellington, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2017. She was born on December 2, 1928 in Rockville, CT to the late Joseph and Teresa DeCarli. She was married to her loving husband, the late Peter B. Skipper for 60 years. She enjoyed knitting, reading the Bible, texting and loved spending time with her family and the fellowship of her church family. Dolores was faithful to her husband, her family and her God. She is survived by two sons , Peter J. & his wife Mary Skipper of Boston, MA and Jonathan Skipper of Ellington; her five daughters, Teresa Lovett of Georgia, Catherine Coleman of Vernon, Nancy Flint and her husband, Don of Ellington, Laurie Walker and her husband Tom of Ellington, Jennifer Brisson and her husband, Marc of Ashford; 15 grandchildren,9 great-grandchildren, her dear cousin Pat Skinner, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, December 28, 2017 between 4pm-7pm at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Road, Ellington. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December, 29, 2017 at 10:30am at the Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery in Ellington.
