Obituary for Kenneth R. Stanat

Kenneth R. Stanat Sr., 77, cherished husband to the late Susanna Stanat, passed away peacefully at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He was born in Rockville, CT on July 1, 1940 to the late Anna Milkun and John A. Stanat and remained a life long resident of Broad Brook, East Windsor. Throughout his life, Kenneth was experienced in many trades, hobbies, and passions; mostly as an advocate for second amendment rights. He thrived as a highly skilled tool and die maker for many local manufacturing companies including Hamilton Sundstrand. Kenneth R. Stanat is survived by two sons, Kenneth R. Stanat, Jr. and his wife Amy of North Carolina, and William Stanat and his wife Lisa of Vernon; two daughters, Lisa Johnston and her husband Danny of East Windsor, Heidi Stanat and her husband Darryl of Chaplin, six grandchildren, Christopher Johnston, Coty Johnston, Timothy Stanat, Dacota Pyrch, Hunter Pyrch, and Shianne Stanat; a sister Marlene Marsh of Ellington, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Susanna, his parents, sisters Alice Jasut and Ruth Cushman, and brothers Arthur and John Stanat II. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 between 4pm-5pm with a Funeral Home Service at 5pm at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor.
