Betty-Lou Pond, 85, of Vernon, CT, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was born on April 17, 1932 in Hartford, CT to the late Gertrude and Harry Sengman. She graduated Bulkeley High School in Hartford, CT in 1950 and later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. She was employed by United Aircraft where she met her husband Willis Pond. She was later employed for 20 years at the Max Sadlak Agency. She enjoyed spending time gardening and sewing. She is survived by her son Willis Pond, Jr. of Vernon, CT. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Willis and her sister Barbara O’Neil. Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, March 17, 2018 between 10am-11am at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm Street, Rockville, CT.
