Obituary for Lisa Antoinette Alloggio

Lisa Antoinette Alloggio, 60, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. A born again Christian, Lisa has found peace after long struggles with injury and illness. Her intelligence, smile and humor will be missed by those who knew her.

She was born July 25, 1957 in San Jose, CA, the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Alloggio. Lisa moved frequently following her father’s USCG career including stops in Puerto Rico and Alaska. She was an honors student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo; a three year recipient of Leon Rhodes, Hemingway and Pacific-Asian Scholarships. Her professional life of service included work at Teen Challenge in Hawaii, Oklahoma and Montana, Doulos Ministries in Colorado and Head Start / Maui Economic Opportunity. Lisa enjoyed museums of all sorts, particularly those highlighting glass art, and scouring thrift shops and markets for treasures.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Michael Kalmbach of Tolland, her sister Mary Delgado of FL and step-sister Lisa of HI. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 12 noon to 1PM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rte. 195) Tolland, CT 06084. A Memorial Service will follow at 1PM at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
