Zachery Jacob Basch, 24, of Ashford, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 after a tragic accident. He was born February 14, 1994 in Rockville, the son of John and Daryl (Welti) Basch. He took great pride in his stone craftsmanship with the family business. He was always smiling and had an unforgettable sense of humor that will endure forever. He enjoyed fishing, driving his Dodge Cummins truck, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his loving parents of Ashford, he is survived by his sister, Jessica Heaton and her husband David of Milton, MA; his brother, Matthew Basch and his wife April of Ashford; his paternal grandmother, Ginny Basch; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Marilyn Welti; and his nieces and nephews, Hannah and Allyson Basch, and Lillian, Emily and Nathaniel Heaton. He was predeceased by his infant brothers, Allen and Bradley Basch; and his paternal grandfather, John Basch, Sr. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Westford Congregational Church, 368 Westford Hill Rd. Ashford, CT 06278. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery, 95 Maple Street, Ellington, CT.
