Peter Alan Blume, 72, of Tolland passed away Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born November 27, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Robert and Christine (Nelson) Blume.

Peter was an employee of Snap-on Tools for 25 years and worked his way up to Division Manager, covering territories in New York and Connecticut.

Peter’s nickname was “Mr. Fixit” and he especially enjoyed helping friends and family with all of their projects, large or small, researching every possible option, and watching videos to figure out the best way to proceed. He loved working in his yard with Karen building many stone walls, patios, and gardens. And he appreciated and enjoyed good food and eating at his favorite restaurants.

He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Karen Phillips; his first wife of 27 years Kathleen (Karle) Blume; his two daughters, Jennifer Blume of Rocky Hill and Diana Blume and her wife Patricia Hogan of Yonkers, NY; and his brother, Richard Blume and his partner Joyce Perlik of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

The Family would like to extend their appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the oncology nurses at Hartford Hospital Infusion Center and the hospice nurses at Hartford HealthCare at Home (Mansfield), for their wonderful care. They are truly angels.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2 to 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rte. 195) Tolland, CT 06084.
