Obituary for David L. Mairson

David L. Mairson, 80, of Tolland, beloved widower of Marjorie N. Mairson, peacefully passed away at home the morning of May 16, 2018. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late David Louis and Catherine (Cammeyer) Mairson. David leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, David and Dorene Mairson of Woodstock; a daughter, Laura Lennon and Dr. Steven Zeig of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a daughter and son-in- law, Kelley and Jay Hutchison of Yountville, California; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Timothy Noble of Tolland; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kelly Mairson of Coventry; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Carol Neckermann of Kensington; a sister-in-law, Elaine Neckermann of Atlanta, Georgia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and special friends. He was predeceased by four sisters, Elizabeth Schmidt, Catherine Niejako, Lorraine Sullivan and Frances Frey; and a granddaughter Katie Lennon. David loved historical stories of the sea (a navy man), tinkering in his workshop and meticulously tending to the grounds of the family home. After a successful run and early retirement from Mairson Pump Repair, Inc., he enjoyed many leisurely rides in his 31 Model A pickup truck and 71 VW Super Beetle convertible. Funeral Arrangements are by the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home and services are private at the convenience of the family. The Mairson family, as with our mother, graciously asks that donations in his memory be shared with charities of individual choice, David’s being local, town organizations.
