Irene M. Duval passed away at home in Tolland on August 29, 2018. She was born in St. Agatha, Maine, on April 7, 1941 and worked in the food service industry until she retired from the State of Connecticut. She is survived by her husband, J. Normand Duval of Tolland, CT, as well as her sister, Marie Bosse and her husband Jerry Coulter of West Hartford, CT in addition to her children, Russell Collin, Raymond Collin and his wife Carmen of Ellington, CT and Lynne Hansen and her fiancé John Flury of Hamburg, NY, her stepchildren, John Duval of Tolland, CT, Jackie McGrail and her husband Dan of Vernon, CT, Audrey Carmody and her husband Joe of Coventry, CT, Andrea Donaldson and her husband Kyle of Mt. Sydney, VA, Joseph Duval and his wife Sue of Tolland, CT, and James Duval and his wife Mindy of East Hartford, CT. She is also survived by her granddaughter Elizabeth Collin, and step-granddaughters Melanie Donaldson, Amberelle McCarthy and her husband Robert, Brandi Carmody, Sage Duval, and Quinn Duval, in addition to step-grandsons Corey Donaldson, Jeremy Donaldson and his wife Janelle, Joey Duval, and Ryan McGrail, in addition to step great-grandchildren, Chloe Donaldson and Sullivan McCarthy. Irene was predeceased by her parents, Philip Bosse and Edna (Desrosiers) Bosse, her brother Roger Bosse, sisters Theresa Sedgely and Cookie Bycenski, and by her beloved granddaughter Melissa Hansen. Irene wished to thank hospice for the wonderful love and care she received from them. Also, a special thank you to Kathy. Relatives and friends may join the family on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road, Tolland between 2pm-4pm with a Funeral Home Service at 4pm.
