Joyce Marie (Phillips) Jackson, 81, of Vernon, beloved wife of Paul Jackson passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1936 in Easton, ME, the daughter of the late Wallace and Helena (Lint) Phillips. She was a longtime member of the United Congregational Church of Tolland. She sang in the church choir and the Hartford Chorale. She was an avid UConn Women’s Basketball fan and enjoyed playing bridge. Joyce loved animals, especially cats. She was also a member of P.E.O.. Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children and their spouses, Stuart and Sarah Jackson of Southington, Sharon and Brian Tierney of Tolland, and Tracey Jackson and Gymm Morey of Manchester; her six grandchildren, Tim and Michael Unwin, Kelly and Michael Tierney, and Andrea and Rebecca Morey; her two great grandsons, Liam Unwin and Alexander Fabrycki; her niece, Sheila Stevens; and her extended family in Northborough, MA. She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Fraser. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the United Congregational Church of Tolland, 45 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT 06084.
