Dear Paul –
My sincere condolences to you and your family – Stuart, Sharon and Tracy – in your bereavement on the passing of Joyce. I have fond memories of her when we were neighbors living in Talcottville.
Following is a poem that someone sent me some years ago that I found comfortiong in times like these.

Loss of a Loved One

Where is the quiet laughter gone
Where is that gentle smile
Where are the joys of yesterday
Why couldn’t they wait awhile?
Would the sorrow be less tomorrow
If then she left life’s sea?
Would we miss her less tomorrow
Her friends and you and me?
Will we meet again sometime then
On a better and future day
For this is what we hope will be
As we travel this life’s way.

We just learned of Joyce’s passing and we hold you all in our thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Jackson always made me feel special in the Jackson home when Tracey and I were hanging out during our High School years. She always had a cheerful voice and demeanor even when our “high school dramas” were in full swing! I will never forget her. Tracey, let’s get together and catch up!! Miss you!

Mrs. Jackson always made me feel welcomed and special in the Jackson home when Tracey and I were in High School. She had a gift of making people feel valued and comfortable, truly an exceptional human being! We love animals too, especially our 18 year old cat. We are happy to make this donation in Joyce’s good name. We just learned of your Mom’s passing tonight. I do wish I could have been with you. With love to you all, especially Tracey!!
