Stella J. Meyer died peacefully Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. She was born in Rockville on April 14, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Antonia Milkowski and Paul Skoldowski. She was one of 9 children. She is survived by her daughter, Georgianna and her husband Paul of Suffriti, New Mexico; her grandchildren, Desiree Laderoute and husband Mark and Jacqueline Gilson; great grandchildren, Callandra and Ethan Laderoute her two sisters, Frances Stawicki and Ann Correnti. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Nordstrom and son, James Meyer; brothers, Chester, Joseph and John Skoldowski; sisters, Helen Nawracaj, Pauline Bielik and Julia Von Rader. Her family was very important to her and she cherished each and every one of them. She was always present in their lives and will be missed greatly by those who loved her. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 St. Joseph’s Church, 33 West St. Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
