Albert F. Zizzamia, Jr., born on November 21, 1951, passed away at his home in Coventry, on June 3, 2010. He was the son of Joan Cusano Zizzamia Uricchio of Rocky Hill, and the late Albert F. Zizzamia, Sr. He was the stepson of the late Daniel Uricchio of Manchester. Al leaves his beloved wife, Linda Zizzamia, of Coventry, his children, Deana Zizzamia of Eden Prairie, MN, and Daniel Zizzamia, of Missoula, MT. Al was predeceased by his first born son, Albert T. Zizzamia, who left this world on September 30, 2004. He also leaves his beloved dogs, Emma and Storm. His other dog, his beloved Cassie, predeceased him on May 8, 2010.Al also leaves his loving sister, Diane Zizzamia Kelly and brother-in-law Frank Kelly, his niece, Alison Kelly, all of Centerbrook, and his niece, Jennifer Murrihy, and her husband, Kevin, and their two daughters, Sophia and Olivia, all of Wethersfield.In addition, Al will be missed by his stepdaughter, Carol Tiziani, and her husband, Glen, along with sons, Matthew and Nicholas, and stepdaughter Alison McCullough, Al’s stepsisters, Phyllis Guay, and her husband, Dennis, and Barbara Bonds, and her husband, Rich. He is also survived by his Godmother, Lores Zizzamia. He leaves many cousins, family members, and long-time friends too numerous to mention, and lastly, his many friends at The Connecticut DMV Emissions Department, and his former co-workers at Kell-Strom Tool in Wethersfield. All who knew Al will fondly remember him for his love of the outdoors, his gentle, compassionate nature, and above all, for his love for his family, his friends and his pets. He was truly one of a kind.A memorial service to celebrate Al’s life will be held at a time and place to be announced by the family. Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
