Obituary for Mary A. Popick

Mary A. (Bik) Popick, 103 of Rockville, and wife of the late, Louis Popick, went to enteral life on Sat., Dec. 1, 2018 at Woodlake of Tolland. She was born Jan. 1, 1915 in Peabody, Ma to the late Methody and Anna (Rock) Bik. Mary was a retired machinist for the Roosevelt Manufacturing Company. She was a longtime communicate to St. Bernard’s Church in Rockville. She is survived by her son, James Popick and his wife, Marilyn of Ellington; her sister, Eva Kowalczyk of Vernon. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, David Popick ; her daughter, Elaine Johnston and her sister, Pauline Burns. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville. A funeral processional will leave the funeral home after to St. Bernard’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Fri., Dec.7, 2018. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Rockville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to help homeless mothers and their children which can be sent to: St. Bernard’s Church, 25 St. Bernard’s Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066 put under memo for Clairvaux House.
