Obituary for Courtney N. Courchesne

Courtney Nicole Courchesne, 25, of Waterbury, formerly of Enfield, passed away unexpectedly on 1/15/2020. Nene, Court, Titi, Frosted Flake and Forehead, as she was affectionately nicknamed by family members was born on April 4, 1994 in Hartford to Michele Cuvier and Ronald Courchesne. She grew up in Enfield, attended Enfield Schools and graduated from Enfield High School. She worked in retail for several years.

It has been said by many of those who knew her that she was the best friend anyone could ever have because she was always making others smile. Courtney was always the one to poke fun at herself or find some way to keep those around her laughing. Anecdotes of her humor include how she would announce her arrival at her brother's house by honking the horn to aggravate him purposely and how she and her sisters or friends would have goofy rides singing (aka: screaming) songs. Whether it was her funny faces or her humor, it just resonated with laughter. She loved animals, making silly faces, leopard print fashionable clothing, quading and tattooing but most of all, she doted on her son as he was her whole world.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her beloved son Jayce E. Soto & his father Joseph; her sisters Krystal Williams & her husband Jeremy of East Windsor, Angeline Courchesne of Manchester and Brianna Courchesne of Willington; her brothers Richard Wilson & his partner Shaylene of Enfield and Bryce Courchesne of Willington; her maternal grandparents Dale and Jack Cuvier of East Windsor; her aunts Dawn Cuvier & her husband Steve of Somers, Tammy Laferriere & her husband Wayne of Stafford; her uncles Norman Savanella and Al Jacob of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. It would be remiss not to add her closest friends Amanda and Efrain Merced, Jessica Pike, Sandy Douville and Shaylene Paradis who were also her world. She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Diane and Jerry Courchesne.

Relatives and friends are invited for visitation hours on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St. East Windsor. Funeral Services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. For online condolences please visit www.pietrasfuneralhome.com.
