I was sorry to hear of Dr. Ghazaleh's passing. I was a student of his at Plattsburgh State where I received a B.A. in History, 1967 and an M.A. in History 1969. I took a number of classes, undergraduate and graduate from him, from which I greatly benefited. He was a true scholar with an impressive knowledge of his field. I remember him as being demanding of effort and instilling the attributes of historical inquiry which I used as a social studies teacher at Peru Central as well as in being able to better grasp events as they have unfolded. The most important lesson I learned was no matter how educated one becomes there is still more to be learned even as I approach my mid 70's. My children attended PHS pretty much the same time as Sam, Reem, and Mona. At times I would run into Dr. and Mrs. at various locations in Plattsburgh. Once again please accept my sincere and heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

Your father was a kind, wonderful man. I have many great memories of your family, sleepovers, dinners, playing in the pool. May your memories give you comfort and make you smile during this difficult time. You have my deepest sympathies.

With love,
Lisa (Light) Brown

Dear Reem,
I just happened to see in the paper that your dear father passed away. I am so sorry. It is very hard to lose a father. Mine passed away thirty years ago and I still miss him. It does get easier in time to remember with smiles instead of tears. I remember always feeling so welcomed by your lovely parents. I know that it must be especially hard considering all that is happening in our world right now. I hope that you, your mom, and the rest of your family are able to be together soon. Please know that Dick and I are thinking of you and remembering your dad with fondness at this difficult time.
