William E. Michaels Jr.,84, of Rockville, beloved husband of the late Irene (Kubasek) Michaels and the late Helen (Menge) Michaels passed away Friday, December 30, 2016. He was born March 18, 1932 in Thompsonville, the son of the late William and Helen (Kennedy) Michaels Sr. William served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a 4th degree Grand Night with the Knights of Columbus. He was a devout catholic. He was an honorable man committed to his family as well as his community. He is survived by his sons, William Michaels, Timothy Michaels, Peter Michaels and his wife Mary, and his step son Craig Menge; his daughters, Patricia and Deborah; his brothers, Richard and his wife Marie, Wayne and his wife Joanne, Bruce and his wife Eileen, and Sean and his wife Roberta; sisters, Mary Beth Boucher and her husband Jack and Sr. Pamela Michaels RSM ; and his three grandchildren, Sean, Nicole and Katherine. William was predeceased by his daughter Mary beth in 1994. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 8:30 am – 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at St. Bernard’s Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066. Burial will follow at St.Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
